Sustainable from yarn to you.

To make the perfect basic, we started by getting the fundamentals right: we use the best fabric made from the highest quality raw materials. Our garments are engineered to last and stay soft with an innovative blend of Supima cotton and Tencel. Fabrics are researched, selected and designed for comfort, quality, and everyday performance using sustainable and eco-friendly practices.

Supima cotton: We use American-grown, sustainably sourced Supima cotton. Supima is the world’s finest cotton because of the extra-long staple fiber that gives it premium properties: strength, softness, pilling resistance and color retention. All cotton used in Proto101’s garments is grown to meet the standards of Better Cotton Initiative to reduce our impact to the environment using less water and fewer pesticides.

TENCEL lyocell: Our t-shirts are blended with TENCEL, known for its natural moisture wicking properties, comfort, and durability. TENCEL is sustainably produced from renewable wood materials without use of pesticides or insecticides.

Better Cotton Initiative: The Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) is a third party global sustainability program. All cotton used in Proto101’s garments is grown to meet the standards of BCI to make global cotton production better for the people who produce it and better for the environment it grows in.

Oeko-Tex Standard 100: Oeko-Tex is a global third party standard on testing textiles for harmful substances. Our fabric has been tested and certified to be free from harmful levels of more than 100 toxins and chemicals.

Packaging: Proto101 ships our products in a compostable, biodegradable package that is made of 100% recycled materials. The plastic bag protecting each piece is also made of 100% recycled plastic.
